The body-mass-index allows to determine your personal ideal weight.
|18.5 - 25||normal weight|
|25 - 30||light or medium overweight|
|30 - 40||strong overweight|
|over 40||very heavy overweight|
At first type your body height into the field, behind which you find the corresponding unit.
After the next mouse click the height will be converted into the other length units.
After typing your body weight into the field in front of the corresponding unit,
a click on the "calculate" button or any free space of the window leads to the
calculation of the weight in the other units and of the body-mass-index.
After the input of the body height you may also type the wanted value for the BMI and
calculate the needed body weight.
Type the "reset" button to reset your calculation. After a change of the input for
the body height, the values for the weight and the BMI automatically are deleted.
Move the mouse over a unit or click on it to read its full name.
Example: You have a height of 1.76 m and a weight of 80 kg. At first type
"176" into the field in front of "cm" and "80" into the field
in front of "kg". Click on the "calculate" button or any empty space of the
window. Read the BMI (25.826).
What should be your weight (with unchanged height) for a BMI of 22 ?
Type "22" into the BMI-field and click on the "calculate" button
or any empty space of the window. Read the result (68.147 kg or 10 st 10.24 lb).
- All results have been rounded to 5 significant digits.
- Large and small numbers are written exponentially. As example
2.3e5 = 2.3⋅105 = 230000 or
4.5e-5 = 4.5⋅10-5 = 0.000045.
- There is no warranty for the conversion. Cactus2000 is not
responsible for damage of any kind caused by wrong results.
- Please send an email if you have suggestions or if you would like to see more
conversions to be included.
