This is a converter for the units of area. In addition the converter displays
the side length of a square as well as the diameter of a circle that both have the
same area, using various units for these lengths. Vice versa the calculation
of the area is possible when the side length of the square or the diameter of the
circle is given.
Usage:
Type the size of the area (center column), the side length of the square (left column),
or the diameter of the circle (right column) into the field with the corresponding
unit.
After a mouseclick on any free space of the window or on the "calculate"
button you may read the result. Move the mouse over a unit to read its full name.
For another calculation you just have to type the new value. Or you click on the
"reset" button before.
Example: How much is 1 acre (U.S. survey) in SI-units ?
Type "1" into the field for "acre" in the center column.
After a mouseclick on any free space of the window or on the "calculate"
button you may read the result.
1 arce corresponds to an area of 4046.9 m2. This could be the area of a
square with a side length of 63.615 m or of a circle with a diameter of 71.782 m.
