With this converter you can calculate the side length of a square or the diameter of a circle from the size of an area. Calculations vice versa are also possible. Input and output are possible in various metric and non-metric units.

Usage: Always choose the correct unit in the corresponding pull-down-menu before you type a value. Type the size of an area, the side length of a square, or the diameter of a circle into the corresponding field. After a mouseclick on any free space of the window or on the "calculate" button you may read the result. By the help of the pull-down menus you can show the results in other units.
For another calculation you just have to type the new value. Or you click on the "reset" button before.

Example: How much is 1 acre (U.S. survey) in SI-units? Choose the unit "acre" in the pull-down menu for area units. Then type the value "1" into the corresponding field. After a mouseclick on any free space of the window or on the "calculate" button the calculation is performed. By choosing "m²" as area unit, you may read that 1 arce corresponds to an area of 4046.9 m². This could be the area of a square with a side length of 63.615 m or of a circle with a diameter of 71.782 m.
