Heat transfer coefficient

The heat transfer coefficient indicates the amount of heat flow that is exchanged across a unit area of a medium or system in a unit amount of time with a unit temperature difference between the boundaries of the system.

Usage: Type the value to convert into the field, behind which you find the unit. Click on any empty space in the window or on the "calculate" button. Read the result in the other fields. Use the "reset" button to reset your calculation. Move the mouse over a unit or click on it to read its full name.

Example: How many watt per square metre per kelvin correspond to a value of 0.3 British thermal units (International Table) per hour per square foot per fahrenheit ? Type "0.3" into the field behind which "Btu_IT h^-1ft^-2F^-1" is written. Click on any empty space in the window or on the "calculate" button. Read the result in the other fields. (e.g. 1.7035 W m^-2 K^-1).
