This is a converter for units of volume. In addition the converter displays
the side length of a cube or the diameter of a sphere that both have the
same volume, using various units for these lengths. Vice versa the calculation
of the volume is possible when the side length of the cube or the diameter of the
sphere is given.
Usage:
Type the size of the volume into the field with the corresponding unit.
After a mouseclick on any free space of the window or on the "calculate"
button you may read the result. Move the mouse over a unit to read its full name.
With the pull-down menu top right you can choose, whether the side length of a cube
or the diameter o a shere is displayed. If you want to type one of these lengths,
choose the correct display before.
For another calculation you just have to type the new value. Or you click on the
"reset" button before.
Example: How much is 1 oil barrel (U.S. liquid) in SI-units ?
Type "1" into the field for "bbl".
After a mouseclick on any free space of the window or on the "calculate"
button you may read the result.
1 bbl corresponds to a volume of about 159 l. This could be the volume of a
cube with a side length of 54.2 cm or of a sphere with a diameter of 67.2 cm.
