Electric Resistivity / Electric Conductivity

The resistivity is a material property that describes how well the material isolates electricity. It is measured in units of resistance × length or resistance × area / length, respectively. SI unit is the ohm metre (Ω·m, kg·m³s^-3A^-2).
The conductivity is a material property that describes how well the material conducts electricity. It is the reciprocal value of resistivity and is measured in units of conductance / length or conductance × length / area. Its SI derived unit is the siemens per metre (S / m, A²s³m^-3kg^-1).
This converter allows to transform values for the electric resistivity and the electric conductivity in different units into each other.

Example: What is the electric conductivity of a material (tungsten) with an electric resistivity of 5.6·10^-8 Ωm? Type "5.6e-8" into the field in the first row, behind which you find "Ω · m".
