The volumetric heat capacity (VHC) of a substance is the value of the amount of energy, which is needed to raise the temperature of one volume unit of this substance by one unit of temperature. The values depend on the temperature and pressure. Therefore, the conversions are only valid under the same conditions of temperature and pressure.

Usage: Type the value to convert into the field, behind which you find the unit. Click on any empty space in the window or on the "calculate" button. Read the result in the other fields. Use the "reset" button to reset your calculation. Move the mouse over a unit or click on it to read its full name.

Example: In a table you find a value of 2.507 J cm-3K-1 for the volumetric heat capacity of plaster. What is the size of this value in the unit BTUIT galUS-1°F-1? Type "2.507" into the field behind which "J cm-3K-1" is written. Click on any empty space in the window or on the "calculate" button. Read the result in the other fields (e.g. 4997.1 BTUIT galUS-1°F-1).
