This converter allows to transform values between volume flow rate, mass flow rate, and chemical flow rate.
It is essential to use the correct value of the density in g/cm3 and the
molar mass in mol/g of the flowing substance. The default values are those for water.
The dimension of mass flow rate is mass/time.
The dimension of volume flow rate is volume/time.
Usage:
Type the value for a flow rate you want to convert into the corresponding field.
You find the different volume units (litre, gallon-UK and gallon-US), different mass units
(kilogramme, pound, ounce) and the chemical units "mol" and
"number of molecules" in the rows.
Different time intervals (per second, per minute, per hour, per day) you find
in the columns. For the calculation, click on any free space of the window
and read the results in the corresponding fields.
Use the "reset" button to reset your calculation.
Move the mouse over a unit or click on it to read its full name.
Example: You want to convert 5 l/min of water to mol/s.
The density and the molar mass of water are set by default.
For another fluid you have to change these values.
Type "5" into the field in the row "l" and the column "/ min".
Click on any free space of the window. Read the result in the row "mol"
and the column "/ s" (4.6296 mol/s).
Remarks:
- Please note the remarks about the
representation of numbers..
- There is no warranty for the calculation. Cactus2000 is not
responsible for damage of any kind caused by wrong results.
- Please send an email if you have suggestions or if you would like to see more
conversions to be included.
